* Erev Rosh Hashanah (led by UJPO): September 11, 2026 (Evening service)

Erev Rosh Hashanah is the evening and daytime period preceding the Jewish New Year. Starting at sundown, the holiday ushers in a time of introspection, renewal, and prayer. The day focuses on spiritual and physical preparation, including special morning prayers, fasting until midday, and giving charity.

* Rosh Hashanah Day 1 Service (led by D'ror Yikra): September 12, 2026 (Daytime service)

Rosh Hashanah, literally translating to "head of the year" in Hebrew, is the two-day Jewish New Year celebration. It marks the anniversary of the creation of the world and the beginning of the High Holidays, which are a period of prayer, self-reflection, and repentance that culminate ten days later with Yom Kippur.

* Shofar Ritual (led by UJPO and D'ror Yikra): September 13, 2026 (Daytime service)

The shofar ritual involves blowing a traditional musical horn, typically made from a ram's horn, during Jewish High Holy Days. It serves as a spiritual "wake-up call" to repentance, commemorating the covenant with God and reminding worshippers of the Binding of Isaac.

* Kol Nidre (led by UJPO): September 20, 2026 (Evening service)

Kol Nidre (Aramaic for "All Vows") is a solemn legal declaration recited in synagogues just before sunset at the start of Yom Kippur, the holiest day in Judaism. It is not technically a prayer, but rather a formal annulment that absolves congregants of unfulfilled, unintentional vows they might make in the coming year.

* Yom Kippur Workshop and Ne'ilah Service (led by D'ror Yikra): September 21, 2026 (Evening service)

Ne'ilah is the fifth and final prayer service of Yom Kippur (the Jewish Day of Atonement). Meaning "locking" or "closing," it symbolizes the closing of the Heavenly Gates. The service is an emotional climax where worshippers make a final, urgent plea to be sealed in the Book of Life.
