Custom Request? Reason #1 To DIY

Reason #1 to DIY is to get exactly what you want, the way you want it, without spending hundreds of dollars paying someone else to experiment.

Q: Hi there! I’m looking for a custom alcohol‑free fruit glycerite for my toddler’s homemade toothpaste.
Do you make (or can you make) a strawberry or raspberry glycerite using only:
• organic fruit
• organic vegetable glycerin
• no alcohol
• no essential oils
• no preservatives
• no added flavours or colours
• food‑grade ingredients
I only need a small bottle (30–60 ml).
If this is something you can make, please let me know the price and turnaround time.
Thank you!

“Do what makes your SOUL happy!”

Sincerely,
N.

A: Hi N, Thanks for writing,
I COULD make this for you, but it would take me so much time to choose a recipe, make a big batch, sell you a twentieth of the batch, and then I'd need to market the rest, and I would not earn money to cover my time until I had sold half of it!
I suggest that you either buy the ingredients to make it yourself or find someone who already makes and markets it. To make it yourself, find a handful of instructions and videos online, watch and learn from them, and choose a method and recipe that suits you.

Glycerites, according to the way I have been taught, take at least 6 weeks to make.

Also, it's not strawberry or raspberry season, so assuming I could even buy organic strawberries or raspberries, they'd be irradiated and their pallets sprayed on the way through the borders, and I'm sure she would not approve.

Also, she should probably just use a good jam. And she'll need to refrigerate the toothpaste.

My kid liked the baking soda, salt and glycerine toothpaste I made.
